This sword, one of the rare dragon weapons, came from the tail of the stone dragon of Ash Lake, descendant of the ancient dragons. The stones are imbued with the power of dragons, But power must come from somewhere. And in DS3, your appearance is not unlike the Stormdrake, Battle-worn and ancient like its master. In DS2 you are like the ancient dragon, A artificial dragon, Represented in wearing armor. In DS1 you look similar to the descendant of the everlasting dragons found in Ash lake. Use a wide variety so you have something useful for every situation, and to keep yourself unpredictable in PVP.I think it has something to do with where(/who?) the dragon the stone comes from. You'll have at least 20/20 in STR/DEX, so you'll be able to use most weapons. You shouldn't just be using one weapon, though. Your stats will lend themselves to a melee/hex hybrid playstyle, so don't forget to use the sources of damage available to you. Your INT/FTH will either be 20s or 30s across the board, depending on whether or not you're sticking to SL150, so your Dark scaling will be pretty good. You might see people recommending Crossbows to you, but their damage is lackluster, and they're a waste of Old Mundane Stones.Īlso, don't forget about hexes, either. Other notable weapons include the Scimitar, Shotel, Dagger, Black Flamestone Dagger, Royal Dirk, Puzzling Stone Sword, and (Raw) Black Dragon Weapons. It has the greatest range, a slashing R2 that can catch enemies off guard, can pierce shields, and does more poise damage (the Stone Ring also synergises well with the quick-hitting nature of Mundane builds). My weapon of choice is the Estoc, which is hands down the best thrusting sword to make Mundane.
Daggers, thrusting swords, and curved swords all do particularly well when infused with Mundane. Mundane makes the damage of every weapon pretty much equal, so the ones that benefit the most from it are the ones that hit quickly.
